Love the bnw series of photographs, and love what you wrote about these beautiful birds. On most days I stop by this spot near my house to see drongos perched on the electric lines. Always makes me wonder how peaceful and beautiful this simple sight is. I completely relate to everything you said!

I completely agree with you about the zen of nature photography. There’s something very special and calming about it.

Oh, these are excellent! I am working on a ‘bird’ post myself. what a fun coincidence! Your b&w photos remind me a bit of Iturbide’s photos of birds! Beautiful work.

I love everything about these photographs - the black and white photographs, the ones that are in color, the single bird, the swarms of birds, but especially the ones where they were caught in flight. Nature is Zen.

My favorite is your black and white photo of the many flocking birds near the pole. Reminds me of how important it is to protect all species .

Fascinating work and philosophy Shital, love it! Your work lies somewhere between Graciela Iturbide and her obsession with birds and Masahisa Fukase with his series of ravens after his divorce. Check them out if you can.

Xavi thanks so much. Susanne also mentioned about Iturbide’s bird photographs. Yes will check hers and Fukase’s images as well. Thanks much for bringing them to my notice.
