Beautiful series of photographs. Birds provide us with such a window into a different world - as you mention about sitting on the trees, on the wires.

I’m lucky to be able to watch black kites from my balcony. I love watching them swoop between the buildings in Hong Kong.

Fascinating work and philosophy Shital, love it! Your work lies somewhere between Graciela Iturbide and her obsession with birds and Masahisa Fukase with his series of ravens after his divorce. Check them out if you can.

Xavi thanks so much. Susanne also mentioned about Iturbide’s bird photographs. Yes will check hers and Fukase’s images as well. Thanks much for bringing them to my notice.

My favorite is your black and white photo of the many flocking birds near the pole. Reminds me of how important it is to protect all species .

I love everything about these photographs - the black and white photographs, the ones that are in color, the single bird, the swarms of birds, but especially the ones where they were caught in flight. Nature is Zen.

Oh, these are excellent! I am working on a ‘bird’ post myself. what a fun coincidence! Your b&w photos remind me a bit of Iturbide’s photos of birds! Beautiful work.
