Every being born is entitled to Susegado. However, when life takes over, this state gets disturbed, and it is not easy to return to that state again. Anyway, everything is in our own hands. The images are beautiful. I always love these monochromes.
I agree with the concept of one frame of a fisherman....i am not into tourist spots, but prefer natural scenery away from the crowds. I could make a whole list as to why...but serenity and time to be present to what I am photographing are two of those reasons...Thank you for sharing a cultural perspective.
I love the term 'susegad' Shital - being there in the moment, relaxing and really connecting to the subject your photographing or just watching definitely comes through in the images we create. It sounds a little similar to mindfulness perhaps?
Beautiful. I was just thinking about the concept of time and came to the conclusion that it truly is an invisible clock - all while staring at a candle in the bath. And then I read your post coincidentally just 5 minutes later. Wild! Thank you.
Bingo!! Well said Leborah. Thanks for the visit.

Just beautiful! You exemplify susegado with your photos and your writing. Thank you for that! 🙏🏻💜

Yes absolutely Lin, it’s about taking a step back, reflecting and being in the moment and observing what you see and feel. Thanks so much!
Beauitful photos Shital! The blue nets really stood out for me!
Thanks so much Pamela💛 The Chinese nets are beautiful and it’s very interesting to see how fishermen work with them.
Lovely concept. Lovely images!

Thanks much Charlie! I have always been interested in how people look at “time” as a concept for everyday life.
I need more of susegad, too.
The man throwing the fishing net is incredible timing, his body appears wrapped inside!
Me too!! Thank you Sarah. I like photographing fishermen with their nets!
I appreciate how you often introduce me to new terms and they always seem to come at a time when I need to read them!
Lately I’ve been caught up in what you referred to as that ‘invisible clock’. Your post is a great reminder to slow down. Thank you!🙏
I deal with the invisible clock all the time so I know how it feels. Thanks so much Karin for reading!
