I am sitting in the car feeling inspired by a popular film song. Every time I listen to it, I think of photography. So here is a line that I have adapted from the song: Is the city a story in my photography or am I a part of the city’s stories? As I navigate my way around every day, many things on the streets speak to me. Some sort of magic happens when I soak in the patterns, textures, moods, drama, the noise and the silence as well. The car allows me to observe in peace and I find a certain comfort level in it. At traffic signals, on flyovers, at junctions, sometimes I miss a photograph sometimes I wait to get it right and sometimes it’s spontaneous. All this on my phone camera from the car.
I know I will forever remember the time and place attached to every photo. My memory won’t let me down in this regard. It’s here, where a major part of my life has unfolded. The city and I have grown together. I have a little notebook in the car. To jot down all the thoughts that rise from any photograph I take. These thoughts are short, random and don’t rhyme! But I think they tell a story… of how I look at my world…
Life is somewhere
Between the serious and the trivial
I see RED
A smile and then a laugh
I click
Those two ears... nice I say to myself
He must know that they call out and make fun
But he continues and does his own thing
The fresh colour of the leaves has my attention
How brown and orange become green
Constant change
The frame is not new
It’s been in my line of vision
But I wait every day
I stare while I steer
One morning it falls into place
A tangled tale
They all run after the Sunset
I do too, sometimes
But there are other ways to show
That blazing Sun
A wanderer with flowing robes
The red turban like the red signal
Amidst the chaos, he moves on
And I see layers
A fair is coming up
The men work everyday
I click everyday
The bird is smart
It knows when to enhance my frame
The work now completed
Every end

Awwesome!! Loved the cover picture. And all the other ones too. The lines/verses to go with each photograph pulled me into that 'magic' moment. Write on!
love the poetic musings
